EDITING GRACE – Footnote to Consumer
Nightmare with DISH NETWORK.

Presumably you got to this page from one of
the pages I have posted ranting about the absolute horror’s my wife and I
endured (and it’s not settled yet) with The DISH Network/EchoStar. I added this footnote page after I removed
all references to the last name of a man who identified himself as a “Customer
Service Supervisor” and by far the employee who was the most arrogant, snide,
rude, and condescending us. I truly
believe he is possibly a criminal in that he retaliated against me for my insistence
on speaking with his supervisor by having our service disconnected. However, you know all that since you got
here – and apparently you are also a masochist, I’m just saying…- and I’ll bet
most of you think I removed that individual’s last name from my postings for
“legal” reasons.
This is why I felt it necessary to put up
yet another page.
I am a broadcast editor. Behind me at this moment I have several books
regarding slander and libel. Every day
that I am working I am the one employee primarily responsible for “making the
call” - the final gate keeper – to determine
if something my company might broadcast via its news operation might be slanderous. I point this out to emphasize that I am very
familiar with the law, and I have no problem whatsoever with publishing that
lowly scum’s last name world-wide. Laws
can indeed be complicated but when it comes to slander and libel the best
defense which is “bullet-proof” boils down to this: “Truth.”
I did not make up anything in regards to the
actions of that individual, I have documented proof of his actions in a variety
of formats and if he were to sue me, believe me it would not bother me in the
slightest. Not only am I protected by
the truth, but such a suit would enable me to subpoena all sorts of records
from the DISH network from which I could make a very nice living.
So why remove his last name? That too is simple…a simple truth. I call myself a “Christian” and in order to
dare to share that “label” I must abide by what I believe to be the highest
law, God’s calling to me.
Throughout my life, I have been blessed by
the grace of God in such abundance that for me to be “vindictive” or even
perceived to be “vindictive” by “Google-bombing” a person – no matter how despicable I believe
them to be – I think diminishes the love, guidance and grace God has shown me
so very often.
So,
after allowing this man’s name to appear at #1 in Google searches for a
day or two I realized I was wronging God’s love to me, and my relationship with
Him. It was not the example I want to
show others of “Christ-like” behavior.
Although several people contacted me worried
for my legal and actually my physical safety, trust me on this, that is not
what prompted this web page or the editing of this man’s last name from my
other sites. God contacted me…and I
listened to my heart.
Perhaps that alone may be why this entire saga
unfolded, to serve as a footnote to the much larger message of God’s abundant
grace.
Be kind and compassionate to one
another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. – Ephesians 4:32
