Global Warming? I'll Take It

I slipped on my butt on my driveway.

This should not be happening in South Texas.

That's ice.

I know, all you cold weather folks think this is nothin'...but us South Texans like South Texas for a reason...many reasons...one of which is these things don't normally grow above our cacti.

You can take your weather back now...we won't be offended.

Though my butt might take a little longer to forgive you...

Blogger is really ticking me off...but until I figure this out, I have to post a comment in order for the comment window to come up. So this is a senseless comment.

Unbelievable. We've had extremely mild weather up here in the snow capital of the US (upstate NY) until very recently. It was in the 60's for Christmas, where it's normally 20-something. Yesterday and today were our real first cold days, in the teens, but it's warming up again tomorrow. We haven't had any snow to speak of yet this year! Looks like it will be a very short Winter for us. Hope it warms up for you too! Now send those icicles back and I'll send you the sunshine.

That's actually more ice than I've seen this whole winter season!

I've slipped and slid a bit, but thankfully I've not fallen thus far.

South Texas Surrealism...dateline Wednesday, January 17th, 2007. The workday called for regular hours. I never did become accustomed to viewing the crystal-like tree limbs heavily bowed from the ice from my office desk.

The extensive hours of freezing temps took their toll on my plastic ice scraper. Though kept inside the house until needed, it brittlely snapped in half from use. Afterward I found tepid water along with a rubber mallet excellant tools for windshield/window ice removal.

Still...If this has been a test, SA should be graded with high passing. Now let's get back to our regular winter where the majority of the SA residents wouldn't know an ice scraper from a garden trowel.
