Career Direction
They've installed a new voice mail system at my office.
I know that's exciting news.
I think the company may be trying to tell me something, although I'm not quite sure how to interpret it.
When someone calls my voicemail extension they get connected...to the elevator.
I'm not kidding.
This is a slightly edited version of what callers hear.
I suppose I'll be an optimist and assume my career is headed up.
Then again, it does depend on your viewpoint.

Ok, I have to comment on that. As a telecom admin, I think that's hysterical. I'm gonna go reroute some of OUR office phones now!

Look at it this way...Once you reach the basement, the only way left to move is UP! Look UP my Friend!
As long as your desk isn't located in the elevator also, you should be in good shape.
Love the cartoon. At the conclusion of most work days, I feel like the cartoon's depiction.
