Oh Me Of Little Faith
We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:3
One of my favorite passages.

Nothing of value is gained without some suffering. God seems to teach me that in many ways.

Doing the Happy Spurs dance in Wisconsin!
When I saw that in the news, I knew you'd be happy!

Michael, I've been reading your posts throughout the series, and as a rabid Detroit fan, I was always interested to see your perspective. There are a lot of unhappy people here in Michigan today, but I congratulate your team.
I might get in trouble for saying it around here, but I have really gotten to like the Spurs during this series, and I'm glad they were the team that knocked off the Pistons (if somebody had to do it).
peace,
bvl
Michael, my warmest felicitations to you and my die-hard Spurs fan sister Lisa, who lives in Round Rock and hears you on the radio! It will be a happy day for ya'll today as you bask in the glow of victory. :)
Good deal ... so happy you're so happy. Even way up here in western NY, we were hoping for a San Antonio victory! Enjoy!
Now we know there truly are a few things worth losing sleep over! Have fun celebrating...
Hehe...all these nice posts. Bah! I'm a little touched right now...I have to get back to the couch.. One Pizza coming from Jersey for you to celebrate with..as soon as I recover. I watched last nights game. Tim Duncan was not a hero in the first half...shooting 5/16. But..kudos to him if he prayed..and turned it around in the third. It was a painful last five minutes to watch for Detroit fans. Particularly the three pointers and the 24 second clock violations.. Congratulations my friend. It was a great series. Winning in 7 is always better than 6. :)
Congrats to you and your Spurs! Doing the dance of joy? Shalom
More like doing the sleep of the exhausted...Most folks I know are seriously considering asking the changing the Spurs cheer from "Go Spurs Go!" to "Nap Spurs Nap!"
Matt-- order a pizza...a big one...and split with the boys, maybe a picnic with Nick.
It was a great series between two great teams....one greater than the other of course :)

And the fans go wiiiiild!!! Michael, it was such a treat to be able to think of you and your friends screaming your heads off during that game and leaping wildly into the air when that last buzzer sounded. Made the game *way* more fun for this relatively apathetic watcher. Congratulations to your team, it's fans, and their proud city!
